Lecture on Treating Pain with Prolotherapy

Dr. Neal Pollack

Dr. Neal Pollack, a neurologist, prolotherapist and musculoskeletal specialist, will present a lecture on the benefits of prolotherapy at 5 p.m. on September 21 in the atrium of the Mayfair North Tower building, in Wauwatosa. Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection treatment effective in treating pain, which enables people to reduce medications, increase mobility and avoid costly surgery.

The treatment, performed in the office, consists of a natural, cortisone-free solution injected into specific areas in order to produce local inflammation, which Pollack says ultimately strengthens affected tissues. He notes that many pain problems are related specifically to ligament, tendon and joint injuries, and prolotherapy rehabilitates these specific areas without surgery.

Pollack holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and the University of New Mexico, where he was chief resident. He is currently an emeritus staff associate at St. Luke’s Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Location: 2600 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa. For more information or to register for the lecture, call 414-453-7780 or visit MilwaukeePainClinic.com.
