August is a powerful time for reflection and realignment. As the summer sun still radiates its warmth and the seasons slowly prepare to shift, it invites us to check in: Are we living in alignment with who we truly are?

This month’s issue of Natural Awakenings is dedicated to helping us remember that authentic, harmonious living is not about being perfect—it’s about being true. Our feature story, "The Authentic Lifestyle," reminds us that real wellness begins when we let go of the pressure to be someone else and embrace who we truly are—mind, body and spirit.

On that same note, we’re excited to introduce "Mindful Workouts," which explore the growing integration of mental wellness into physical fitness spaces. More and more, movement is being recognized not only for its physical benefits, but for the mental clarity and emotional grounding it can offer.

And speaking of nourishing the body, don’t miss our “Small but Mighty” piece on microgreens and sprouts. These tiny greens are bursting with flavor and nutritional value—a small, sustainable way to supercharge your plate and your health. As always, we’re excited to offer actionable ways to make wellness simple and joyful.

We also sit down with Dr. Lorraine Maita in "A Natural Path Back to Health," where she shares integrative wisdom on detox and hormone balance—topics especially relevant in today’s high-stress, high-toxin environment.

Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it certainly doesn’t happen overnight. But each small step—whether it’s realigning with your truth, making a healthy smoothie or simply taking a few minutes to breathe—brings us closer to living the life we’re meant to live.

Here’s to exploring, aligning and becoming more of who we already are.

In wellness,
