Energy Fair Promotes 
Sustainable Future

The Midwest Renewable Energy Association will host its annual Energy Fair from June 17 through 19 in Custer, Wisconsin. The educational and networking event provides attendees with the tools to lead a more sustainable lifestyle and to network to create lasting positive change. This year’s fair features more than 250 workshops and 200 exhibitors, live music from PHOX and VO5, a variety of speakers and activities for the whole family.

Presentations will include John Farrell, of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, talking about the benefits of locally distributed energy; Sandrine Mubenga, CEO of SMIN Power Group and a professional engineer at the University of Toledo, discussing her work abroad helping people improve their lives through sustainable energy; and Nomi Prins, a journalist and political and financial expert, explaining how the financial system benefits those in power, the possibilities of public banking and how regulation can help advance policies that benefit the public.
