Cultured Foods Workshop Teaches Nutrition for Good Health and Healing

Natalie Benoit

Holistic health coach Natalie Benoit will host two separate workshops about cultured foods and beverages. The first will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., January 10, at The Atrium, at Rolling Spirit, in Greendale. The second is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., January 18, at Treetop Yoga LLC, in Sussex. Participants will learn how to make raw, live and fermented foods, including probiotic sauerkraut and kombucha tea, which has gained popularity in recent years as a health elixir.

Benoit, who is also a Reiki teacher, notes that fermented foods and beverages are full of beneficial bacteria, enzymes and vitamins that help to bolster the immune system, heal the gut, rev up the metabolism and more. Students will take home the kombucha starter and a jar of homemade raw, cultured sauerkraut.

Cost: $50 per workshop. Locations: The Atrium, 6169B Industrial Ct., Greendale; Treetop Yoga LLC, N93 W25173 Bittersweet Dr., Sussex. For more information, call 414-651-2243, email [email protected] or visit MilwaukeeReiki.MassagePlanet.com.
