December 2013 Kudos

Clay Sterling, the regional training officer and instructor for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), won the Best of 2013 award for Clean Energy Trainer of the Year given by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC). IREC awards those that have done outstanding work in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency at its annual IREC 3iAwards. This is the first year for the Clean Energy Trainer of the Year category.

For more than 10 years, Sterling has been a photovoltaics and wind course instructor for the MREA. He was instrumental in developing the MREA training program, which has expanded to dozens of courses across the Midwest, as well as the MREA online courses.
