Yuletide Faire at Prairie Hill Waldorf School

Prairie Hill Waldorf School, in Pewaukee, presents its 26th annual Yuletide Faire, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., November 23. Entertainment includes strolling minstrels, costumed characters, marionette puppet shows and storytelling. Musical guests include Hans Young Binter; Brett, Ed and Monica: Early and Irish Music; Mike Arnold and Friends; the Sweet Potato Band; and Patrick O’Day, Tim Benkowski and Chet Celenza of the band ‘tis, which will perform Irish folk and rock music.

Prairie Hill’s children will also perform choral, string and recorder arrangements. Children can participate in craft workshops, have their faces painted and join a treasure hunt. A parade begins at 12:20 p.m., followed by a Spanish play featuring sixth grade students at 1 p.m.

Holiday shopping opportunities include a children’s bazaar featuring lowpriced items, a silent auction and sales of children’s books and toys made from natural materials, as well as unique items from more than 35 vendors.

Hearty, warm food will be available in the Winter Kitchen. The Desert Café will offer hot baked goods and homemade cakes, pies and desert specialties and the Sweet Shoppe will be stocked with candies, nuts and other treats.
