Meditate Milwaukee Presents Free City of Love Meditation Event

When we remember that we are all in this together, we can break down barriers to separateness

Milwaukee, WI – Meditate Milwaukee, an offsite program of Blue Lotus Center, a 5013c non-profit, is set to bring unity to its hometown during the Republican National Convention with a free “City of Love Meditation Event” on July 17.

The 60-minute experience will be offered online, guided by global musician and teacher Brenda McMorrow. McMorrow will lead the meditation and conclude with music, aiming to tap into the participants' hearts.

The event will be accessible on two virtual platforms and is designed to be completely apolitical. “It’s an event for everyone, whether you’ve meditated before or not,” says co-creator Kaita Bliffert.

Co-creator Traci Schwartz adds, “When we remember that we are all in this together, we can break down barriers to separateness. We can be so much more effective together.”

The organization emphasizes the importance of infusing the community with a sense of connection during Milwaukee’s role as a convention host city. By hosting the event online, they aim to allow the whole country to participate.

Bliffert states, “This is a chance to embrace a desire to become more meditative and thoughtful as we come together virtually. We can start by investing in ourselves in order to invest in each other. We see a real need for people to come together now to create a sense of compassion and understanding.”
