ProVita Wellness Clinic: Functional and Nutritional MedicineFeb 01, 2024 12:00AM ● By Natural Awakenings Milwaukee
Crystal Dillett, a nurse practitioner certified in functional and nutritional medicine, founded ProVita Wellness Clinic after spending 12 years in conventional medicine. After watching patients get sicker instead of better, she yearned to understand the root causes of such illnesses and offer approaches to treat them holistically.
In March 2022, Dillett formed Provita Wellness Clinic, where she treats patients with a variety of conditions including cardiovascular disease, dysautonomia, mast cell activation, inflammation, autoimmune disease, digestive disorders, mold and Lyme illness, hormone and thyroid imbalance, and other chronic symptoms that have not been resolved with conventional treatment. She also treats people who are looking to optimize health and vitality through personalized lifestyle medicine.
“We investigate long-term factors that lead to chronic symptoms or illness and then use holistic lifestyle medicine to correct them,” Dillett explains. “We look at each patient as an individual through a ‘systems biology-based’ approach and appreciate that body systems interact with and depend on each other for proper function.”
In addition, ProVita Wellness Clinic offers medical-assisted weight-loss programs. These incorporate the concepts of functional medicine while using targeted nutraceutical or peptide therapy to assist the body in the weight-loss process. Dillett also administers customized intravenous (IV) therapy, which delivers nutrients directly into the bloodstream.
“I invest a lot of time in each patient. Learning a patient’s story is the most fundamental step in guiding them to wellness.”
