Receive Fresh Produce from Wellspring’s Community
Supported Agriculture

Wellspring, an organic farm and nonprofit education and retreat center, is accepting subscriptions for its community supported agriculture (CSA) program. A CSA is a food distribution model in which the customer invests in a share of a farm’s produce at the beginning of the year and receives a box of food at regularly timed intervals throughout the growing season. Weekly and biweekly shares are available, and every customer also receives a newsletter containing farm news, cooking and storage tips and invitations to farm events.

CSAs benefit farmers by providing needed cash flow early in the season when income is low but expenses are at their highest because they need to purchase seed, fertilizer and other supplies to be used throughout the season. The model is advantageous to consumers as it provides a bounty of local organic produce and allows people to contribute to transforming the food system and building community.

Wellspring started its CSA program in 1988, making it the longest continuously running CSA in Wisconsin.
