Environmentally Conscious Child Care Opens in Milwaukee

Tiny Green Trees Children’s Center is a new child care provider that offers environmentally friendly, nature-based day care for infants and children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. The Center will host a free event, Festival of Light, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., December 13, featuring candlelight and singing to brighten the dark days of winter.

Tiny Green Trees provides year-round, weekday care in a family-style environment, with an emphasis on the outdoors, sustainable gardening, healthy eating and explorative art activities, as well as a nature kindergarten program for children ages 3-6. Owners Jeremy Belot and Kelly Aubin Belot renovated a rundown property into a sun-filled, environmentally responsible day care located three doors away from the Urban Ecology Center’s (UEC) Menomonee Valley location.

Tiny Green Trees collaborates with UEC for educational activities and projects in the community gardens. The center is also adjacent to the new Three Bridges Park, which allows for nature hikes and park activities.

Location: 717 S. 37th St., Milwaukee. For more information and to RSVP for the Festival of Light (required), call 414-645-9929, email [email protected] or visit TinyGreenTrees.com.
