Jamie Durner Leads Seven-Day Ayurvedic Cleanse

Jamie Durner

Spring is the time of year the body loves to cleanse naturally, in order to shed the natural heaviness that we need for nourishment and support in winter. Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner Jamie Durner, owner of Ayurveda Wellness, in Brookfield, will guide a group through a seven-day home detox program, called Be Your Best–Cleansing Rejuvenation. The first meeting— a free information session about the role of cleansing in health—takes place at 7:15 p.m., April 2, and is open to anyone interested in learning more about the cleanse. The first workshop for those committed to the cleanse is from 3 to 4:30 p.m., April 7, and the cleanse closes with a teleclass on April 15. In addition, the program includes a written guide with instructions, recipes, yoga and meditation techniques; daily emails; online forum support and expert guidance.

Durner says the program will help participants to reset their digestion and health so that they can leap into spring with a healthier body, vibrant energy and a rejuvenated mind. The holistic detox incorporates a whole-foods diet with cleansing spices, herbs and teas; daily oral, nasal, lymph and skin therapies; plus elective yoga, breath and meditation techniques. An optional Even Easier Cleanse Kit comes with prepackaged food, spice and tea staples and supplies for the daily body therapies.
