Good Harvest Market Presents Harvest Health Fair

Good Harvest Market hosts its biggest event of the year, the eighth annual Harvest Health Fair, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 8. Visitors will enjoy healthy living workshops, consultations with local wellness professionals, an organic food cookout and children’s activities. The fair provides opportunities for attendees to meet local alternative wellness professionals and learn more about various health topics during mini-workshops. Prizes will be given away throughout the day, and 5 percent of the day’s sales will be donated to NuGenesis Farm, in Pewaukee.

Children’s activities presented by Prairie Hill Waldorf School for a $1 fee per activity include making corn husk dolls and beeswax pumpkins and puppet plays. Workshops for adults comprise Qi Gong, Natural Solutions to Low Energy and Balancing Hormones, Living Whole: Celebrate Your YOUniqueness; Live More, Weigh Less; and Massage Modalities.

Preceding the health fair is the inaugural Share the Harvest 30K Run, starting from West Wood Health and Fitness Center (WWHFC), at 7:30 a.m., which benefits NuGenesis Farm. All participants receive a $10 certificate for lunch at Good Harvest Market and seven free visits to WWHFC, as well as a Salus, Inc., coupon good for 30 minutes on their AlterG treadmill or a onemonth pass to their Delafield studio. A folk music jam rounds out the day, following the health fair.
