New Massage Therapy School: SANA School For the Healing Arts

SANA is a new, science-based massage therapy school in the Milwaukee area with a true therapeutic focus. SANA offers a diploma in massage therapy and is fully approved by the Wisconsin Education Approval Board. The program has a strong focus in biological sciences, such as anatomy, kinesiology and physiology and is designed to help students wishing to work in the medical fields. New classes begin August 27, with part-time day and night classes available.

Massage Therapy is in high demand in integrated medical settings. Owned and created by Heather Henry and Jonathan Peterman, of Meridian Healthcare, this program prepares students to enter the field with confidence. All instructors are industry professionals, most holding a doctorate degree in their fields. Students learn massage therapy, how the muscles work and how to treat the body with the most effective modalities possible in their scope of practice, rather than learning body treatments specific to one retail company.

The program offers a clinical residency in Goodyear Health Center, a cuttingedge, integrated health facility. They work side-by-side with acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, personal trainers and medical doctors. This experience gives students exposure to the future of manual medicine and better equips them for job placement after graduation.
