Waldorf Education Offers Adult Workshops

Waldorf Education in southeastern Wisconsin employs a holistic approach to education and to life that honors the Earth, embraces the spirit and nurtures and recognizes the integrity of the whole human being. Local Waldorf schools offer a variety of summer programs, a few of which are described here; see individual websites for other program offerings.

Between July 2 and 21, Great Lakes Waldorf Institute (GLWI) is offering adult workshops in subjects including biography work, clay modeling, calligraphy and more, to enable adults to enrich themselves, deepen their self-understanding and experience the Waldorf approach to education. GLWI also offers a teacher development program that leads to a certificate in Waldorf Education or a Master of Education degree with a Waldorf emphasis. For families looking to learn more about Waldorf education, Tamarack Waldorf School, at 1150 E. Brady Street, in Milwaukee, is holding an Open House for parents, at 6:30 p.m., July 31.

Summer Garden, a Waldorf-inspired summer program for children in preschool through grade 3, is offered at Prairie Hill Waldorf School, N14 W29143 Silvernail Road, in Pewaukee.
