The new entertainment venue, Arté Wine and Painting Studio, in Wauwatosa, hosts one-night painting parties, in which a skilled local artist teaches guests to paint while they enjoy sipping wine in a relaxed, social setting. Fun, memorable and unique, Arté parties are planned around an online schedule of specific paintings; participants register for the day that offers the painting they would like to create. In a group environment, each painter follows the instructor in recreating that session’s featured work. However, everyone leaves with a rendition of the piece that they themselves created, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

“The concept is to have fun first and then to learn to paint in the process,” comments Lisa Allen, who co-owns the studio with Karen Salituro. “For the same price as going to a bar or a concert, someone can have an entertaining night with friends, family or co-workers and also leave with a beautiful painting.”

Arté is the perfect place for a date night, birthday or bachelorette party, office party or other group team-building activity. The venue accommodates up to 45 guests, providing all the essential painting materials. Wine, beer and other refreshments are available for purchase. A full range of painting styles are scheduled on Arté’s online calendar, spanning from famous to local works.

Public classes are available Wednesday through Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Private parties and corporate events can be scheduled for any day of the week.
