Aging as a Spiritual Practice
In this retreat, through sharing, silence, and presentations, we will explore the idea that growing older is not only a physical or emotional process, but also a deeply spiritual journey. It is a journey in which we encounter change and loss—of roles, abilities, and loved ones. You will be invited to learn practices that encourage approaching the aging process not with fear or resistance, but with grace, openness, and acceptance. This retreat is about learning to let go of attachments and expectations, while discovering the wisdom and freedom that can emerge with age.
This program is open to everyone, because aging, as Buddhist teachings remind us, is universal: “The first truth of aging is also the first truth of Buddhism: Everything changes.” — Lewis Richmond
