Day of Mindfulness: Rest, Reflect, and Rejuvenate
This one-day retreat teaches ways to face life’s challenges with more ease, calm, awareness and balance.
In a peaceful environment with a supportive community, you will learn from the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. The program combines guided meditation, gentle movement practices, and practical tools for exploring various forms of meditation, including sitting, walking, breathing, and body scan practices. Participants will also explore the philosophy of Thich Nhat Hanh and the practice of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction through reflection and dialogue.
The retreat also includes forest bathing, a practice of therapeutic relaxation in a natural setting that invites participants to slow down and engage their senses as a way of connecting with nature. This retreat may be especially meaningful for professionals experiencing workplace pressure, individuals navigating major life transitions, anyone feeling overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, and those seeking to develop a more balanced approach to life.
