Join Mamata Kate for a class focused on alleviating intrusive thoughts. The hour will begin with a quick introduction and discussion on mindfulness and how it can be applied to daily life. Kate will concentrate on the principle of non-judgment in mindfulness, how it pertains to our own mindset, and not just toward others. She’ll also discuss how to identify and manage intrusive thoughts before energy is given to them. Kate will teach various breathing techniques that kids can use to shift the mindset negative or intrusive thoughts arise. Additionally, she’ll introduce meditation techniques and guide the class through a meditation to conclude the session.
This class is designed for tweens and young teens aged 11-15. Perfect for siblings, especially those with a little rivalry! Book two (2) spaces for a discount rate of $25 - sessions must be booked together to receive an automatic discount applied at checkout. Please note the age of person(s) signing up.Gathering is limited to 15 tweens.
Kate is a certified mindfulness instructor for all ages called back into service by her angels. She used her background in nursing as a foundation to build her mindfulness path, and has the following accreditations: Fully Accredited Mindfulness for Teenagers and Schools, Mindfulness for Children, and Mindfulness for Children Diploma. Kate also received Certification in Mindfulness from UWM through an accredited continuing nursing education course. She uses the mindfulness practices learned as well as spiritual guidance and intuition to coach her clients to finding a more peaceful way to move through life.
