Understanding Yourself & Family Origin: How Your Past Impacts Your Present
This will be an interactive lecture on the neuroscience of our early relationships and how that lays a foundation for who we are and how we engage in relationships today.
What will we talk about?
- What are the most important aspects from your past to focus on for big change in your life today.
- How our mind forms based on early emotions and relationships and how understanding this is crucial for major change.
- How the state of our mind impacts how we perceive and interact with ourselves and others today.
- How our memory works in relation to our experiences and emotions. You don’t have to remember your past to benefit. You will learn how to read present day clues to better understand and relate to yourself.
- How does therapy work; what is the mechanism for change? What else can you do for change if therapy is not for you?
- You will receive handouts to take with you.
