Kintsugi Sangha Meditation
Free meditation experience for adults interested in zen practice.
This is a free event that meets every Monday that is not a national holiday. What is Kintsugi Sangha? Kintsugi is a Japanese art form devoted to enhancing the beauty of a broken object by using gold to accent areas that have been repaired.Sangha is a Sanskrit word meaning a community of people devoted to a shared spiritual search. When the kintsugi concept is applied to a sangha, the result is a gathering of spiritual seekers who help each other explore the confusion, joy, and boundless opportunity of the human experience, always with an eye toward compassion, honesty, and humility. Zen offers no higher power to pray to; it simply offers a way of engaging the world by understanding and engaging oneself. It is not necessary to discard your religious beliefs to practice Zen. Bring your curiosity or your deep practice, all adults are welcome.
