Geology and Nature of the Siena Grounds and Lakeshore

Join us as we explore the many diverse ecosystems of the Siena grounds—the lakeshore, woodlands, prairie, and wetlands all packed into one beautiful space.

During this day of exploration, we will learn about the geological movements that shaped the land and lake we love. We will also identify the various plant species and discuss their role in the environment as well as the differences between native, non-native, and invasive species. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
