Native Americans have long utilized art, music and percussion to transfer energy and honor their ancestors. Join Djuro and special guest Lakota elder, Mr. Charging Crow, to design and paint a medicine wheel on your very own drum. Each participant will receive an adaptable dual frame drum with striker and painting supplies will be provided. The medicine wheel is an ancient and sacred symbol used by many Tribes that signifies health, healing, and balance.

Mr. Charging Crow will discuss the history, significance, and colors behind the medicine wheel and everyone will have the opportunity to design and decorate your own special piece. We will also talk about the ceremony of Native American drumming and singing practices, and we'll join in a drum circle to bless the instruments. The animal spirit song will be sung to help bring in your personalized spirit animal that you can choose to add to your drum. No experience is necessary to participate-just a willingness to enjoy the journey!
