Dr. Jeanie Crawford, DPT, CMTPT

SBR Therapy & Wellness, in Cedarburg, is redefining athletic recovery and women’s health—one movement at a time. Founded by Dr. Jeanie Crawford, DPT, CMTPT, a seasoned physical therapist with over 20 years of experience, SBR Therapy has a clear mission: to empower individuals—especially women—to reclaim strength and mobility through customized, biomechanically sound care.

Experienced in pelvic floor therapy and myofascial release (MFR), Dr. Crawford offers her own MFR techniques and has completed thousands of internal and external pelvic exams. These help patients to better understand their body’s anatomy and identify, activate and releasing muscles within the pelvis. She is CAPP-Pelvis certified through the American Physical Therapy Association and has authored an evidence-based case study on treating incontinence with a whole-body approach.

“Pelvic health impacts everything from postpartum recovery to athletic performance,” she says. “I’m here to restore women’s athleticism—not just with treatment, but with prevention, education and sustainable strength training.”

A Full Spectrum of Services

SBR Therapy offers a wide array of services including:

• Physical Therapy

• Sports Performance

• Dry Needling

• Manual Therapy

• Massage Therapy

• Pain and Recovery Solutions

Her approach is layered and integrative—drawing from both science and individualized care plans. From runners and triathletes to postpartum moms, Crawford and her team meet each client where they are.

Innovation in Motion: SBR FLEX, Myofascial and Deep Core Classes

SBR Therapy also hosts signature group classes, each blending physical therapy principles with community wellness. SBR FLEX is a class tailored for swimmers, bikers and runners, and it shifts with the Midwest’s seasonal training demands. The class incorporates strength, flexibility and endurance exercises. Each session is capped at 12 participants to ensure personalized guidance. There is an option for packages as well as drop ins on Wednesdays nights 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The Myofascia REALease™️ and deep core class goes beyond typical gym workouts to work on deep core activation and self-release of fascia to improve flexibility and alignment. Both programs are rooted in biomechanics, prevention and mental focus—elements often overlooked in mainstream fitness.

Restoring Fitness

Dr. Crawford’s personal mission has always been clear: to restore athleticism and wellness in every client—especially women navigating the transition of childbirth and beyond. Participants can expect highly trained physical therapists leading every session, an evidence-based focus on biomechanics, thoughtfully curated equipment—treadmills, bands, bars and Pilates reformers—and a welcoming environment. Pricing is designed to be accessible, with a complimentary first-time class, $20 drop-in rates, $150 for a 10-pack or $125 for an unlimited monthly pass.

Beyond therapy and classes, SBR is about connection. “Many women are told to just ‘bounce back’ after giving birth. But true recovery is more complex. We focus on smart healing, not shortcuts,” Dr. Crawford shares.

Her dedication extends beyond the clinic. Through continued mentorship, research and class innovation, Crawford ensures that SBR remains a hub for healing, performance and community-based strength.
