Retzer Nature Center Celebrates 50 Years

In June, Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha celebrated its 50th anniversary, honoring five decades of natural beauty, educational programs and cherished memories. The local Nature Center offers various special events and programs such as environmental activities for all ages, scout programs and special events by Waukesha County Parks. Visitors can explore the Friends of Retzer Nature Center, visit the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium and enjoy miles of nature trails.
The Nature Center grounds are open daily from sunrise to 10 p.m. year-round. The Learning Center building is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed on Sundays and county-observed federal holidays.
