Organic Seedling Sale at Winterspring CSA Farm

Winterspring Farm, in West Bend, will hold its annual seedling sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 13. Seedlings can be preordered through https://www.winterspringcsa.com/seedlingsale prior to May 13, or purchased on site on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“Almost all seedlings provided by box stores are treated with herbicides, pesticides and synthetic fertilizer,” says Roxanne
Hanna of Winterspring. “Some of these pesticides have been shown to harm pollinators. Systemic pesticides, like neonicotinoids, remain in the plant tissue for the whole season. If you want your garden to be pollinator friendly, organic seedlings are a must.”
Winterspring is also taking orders for their 20-week community supported agriculture (CSA) program that feeds more than 300 families each week.
