Urban Candlelight Hike at Three Bridges Park

For the fourth year in a row, hardy northerners will cure their cabin fever at the free Urban Candlelight Hike in Three Bridges Park, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., February 22. Bundle up for a winter adventure complete with two miles of candlelit trails on the Hank Aaron State Trail. The hike also includes roaring campfires, hot cocoa, and beers and root beer from Third Space Brewing.

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wheel & Sprocket will host fat tire bike demos, allowing attendees to test ride a fat tire bike. There will be a tea tasting with Rishi Tea at Velobahn Coffee Shop, REI snowshoe demos and a Winter Camp Lounge Selfie Station. Extras for Fun Pass holders include hot chocolate and pastries at the Urban Ecology Center (while supplies last); marshmallow roasting and s’mores at the FOHAST Fireside Plaza; and entry in door prize raffles which include a $100 gift card from Wheel & Sprocket, a gift basket from Rishi Tea, gear from REI and more. The event is hosted by Friends of the Hank Aaron State Trail and the Urban Ecology Center, and sponsored by Komat’su, Menomonee Valley Partners and Newaukee.
