Learn to Make Healthy, Green Smoothies

The Milwaukee Public Library’s Mitchell Street branch will host a smoothie-making workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m., January 13, in their Cargill Community Kitchen. Learn the basics of making green smoothies, including what foods to use and why they are healthy. Attendees will receive handouts featuring recipes and tips. Samples of the smoothies will be provided during the demonstration.

The state-of-the-art Mitchell Street Branch opened in 2017, replacing the Forest Home Branch with a mixed-use facility that includes 60 apartment units. In addition to library materials and resources for adults and children, the space includes the Northwestern Mutual Foundation Studio M Makerspace on the lower level, along with the Cargill Community Kitchen. The kitchen hosts numerous culinary programs.
