Learn Ways to Prevent Foot Pain at Happy Feet Workshop Series

Emily Yenor

Emily Yenor, a physical therapist, muscle specialist and owner of 1212 Bodyworks, is hosting a three-week workshop series devoted to foot health. During each one-hour session, which takes place on three consecutive weeks from 10 to 11 a.m. on October 10, 17 and 24, she will guide participants through self-massage techniques, precise activation and strengthening exercises for overlooked and under-appreciated foot muscles. Yenor will also cover seated, standing and balance exercise progressions.

Plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, sprained or broken ankles, Morton’s neuroma and Achilles tendinitis can all be painful problems that affect the feet. “Foot pain causes trouble with standing, walking and balancing, and can negatively impact quality of life,” Yenor explains. “Foot problems can make certain shoes difficult to wear. Not only do foot problems create pain in the feet, but they can also lead to pain and compensations in other parts of the body. Now, acute and chronic foot pain sufferers can take their healing into their own hands to find pain relief, strength and balance.” Preregistration is required and workshop space is limited to 10 participants.
