Restorative Laser Therapy: Healing with Light

Nov 01, 2023 12:00AM ● By Natural Awakenings Milwaukee
For many years, registered nurse Christa Christiansen had experienced debilitating back pain that affected her quality of life. After having two surgeries and pursuing conventional methods for pain relief, she decided to try red light therapy. She hasn’t looked back since. She founded Restorative Laser Therapy in the Guild of Modern Wellness, to help others find that same relief.

“Laser light therapy impacted my life. When I treat clients and see them improve and resume activities they couldn’t do prior to treatment, it makes it all worthwhile,” she says.

Christiansen has an Aspen Class IV laser, a U.S. Food & Drug Administration-approved medical device which uses photons of laser light to penetrate the skin and underlying tissue. The cells absorb the light and convert it to energy. This energy can help rejuvenate the cells, which in turn stimulates recovery and healing.

The drug-free, non-invasive, laser light therapy is administered by a certified technician who positions a hand-piece on or near the skin so the beam can penetrate acupuncture points and trigger points. Christiansen says clients report benefits including decreased pain and muscle tightness, increased range of motion, and faster recovery and healing after surgery or injuries. It may also treat acne and cold sores, and improve cognitive health and migraines. Christiansen also conducts free demonstrations; contact Restorative Laser Therapy to schedule such a session.

Restorative Laser Therapy is located at 21415 W. Greenfield Ave., New Berlin, inside the Guild of Modern Wellness. For more information, call 414-881-7015, email [email protected] or visit GuildOfWellness.com.
