Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic Expands Healing Options

The Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic has added acupuncture and physical rehabilitation services for dogs and cats to their menu of integrative veterinary care. The clinic’s philosophy is that pets deserve an abundance of cutting-edge options in health care to help them achieve optimal health at any age. Dogs and cats do not need to be established patients at the clinic in order to receive these two new services.

Acupuncture is safe and painless when performed by a properly trained veterinarian. “Many pets actually fall asleep or enter a deep state of relaxation during their treatment,” notes Dr. Elaine Binor, a doctor of veterinary medicine at the clinic who is also a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist. “It is especially useful for helping animals that have orthopedic issues, arthritis or degenerative joint or spinal conditions, or for those whose immune systems are not functioning optimally.”

In addition, physical rehabilitation services for pets of all ages at Wauwatosa Vet Clinic are provided by Amy Murphy, a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner and certified veterinary technician who manages the rehabilitation services provided by Total Pet Rehab located within Wauwatosa Vet Clinic.
