Aveda Institute Launches Ayurveda Practitioner Program

The Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness is accepting applications for its Ayurveda Practitioner Program, which begins on June 3. The integrative program includes certification as a yoga teacher and training as an ayurvedic body therapist. The program boasts 286 clinical floor hours, which enhances the practitioner’s ability to become employed successfully in a spa or clinical setting or start an independent practice immediately after graduation. The comprehensive training program can be completed in 46 weeks of study, making it shorter than most other ayurvedic programs, which generally require two or more years.

The training will be led by certified Ayurveda practitioners Jackie Hill, Rima Shah and Patricia Layton, who also holds a masters’ degree in integral health studies. All instructors are certified panchakarma technicians, practicing an advanced level of Ayurveda.

Location: 327 E. St. Paul Ave., Milwaukee. For more information, call Aveda Institute’s admissions coordinator at 414-227-2889, email [email protected] or visit ibw.edu.
